Yep, it’s that time of the year again folks. Calendar time.
I’ve never been one for selling prints or postcards or playing the role of ‘artist’ but every new year brings a great excuse to share some personal work with friends and family and bring a splash of colour to people’s walls.
It has been a year of big unknowns and big adventures and I have been very fortunate to have seen, experienced and lived in one of Australia’s last true frontier regions, the amazing Kimberley. What a place!
Here’s wishing you and yours a happy, healthy and productive 2014!
To pick up your copy of the calendar hop on over here or scroll back through the blog for more photos from the amazing Kimberley.
Best wishes ~ Gary
Nice to have some work featured again in this year’s Capture Magazine Annual under the Fine Art, Landscape & Travel categories.

If Melbourne is Australia’s rich and vibrant cultural hub, the Kimberley in Australia’s far north west is true Australian outback. Red rocky ranges, unspoilt landscapes and a sense of scale and geological history unlike anything I’ve seen before. Truly spectacular!
Very few people get the opportunity to see Australia’s remote Kimberley region in the country’s far north west, and even fewer see the Kimberley’s rugged north coast. This is as rugged as rugged gets.
Accessible only to outsiders by boat or plane the Kimberley Coast and the Admiralty Gulf are a sight to behold – this is a place where ancient landforms are framed with pristine turquoise waters, and sacred burial sites mark the home of a 50,000-year-old Aboriginal culture. Remarkable.
Some stills from my recent drive from Melbourne to Broome. Almost 9000km! What a trip.
