Very pleased to be a finalist this year in the Our Impact category of Australian Geographic’s Nature Photographer of the Year competition. The image below – Salt Stacks – was taken just north of Adelaide, in South Australia. The image has since been used in Australian Geographic’s promotional material and featured in the Australian Nature Photographer of the Year exhibition in Sydney and Adelaide.

If Melbourne is Australia’s rich and vibrant cultural hub, the Kimberley in Australia’s far north west is true Australian outback. Red rocky ranges, unspoilt landscapes and a sense of scale and geological history unlike anything I’ve seen before. Truly spectacular!
Very few people get the opportunity to see Australia’s remote Kimberley region in the country’s far north west, and even fewer see the Kimberley’s rugged north coast. This is as rugged as rugged gets.
Accessible only to outsiders by boat or plane the Kimberley Coast and the Admiralty Gulf are a sight to behold – this is a place where ancient landforms are framed with pristine turquoise waters, and sacred burial sites mark the home of a 50,000-year-old Aboriginal culture. Remarkable.

It’s been a productive start to the year putting the finishing touches to the new website.
