A Taste Of The Kimberley | Travel Photography Australia

If Melbourne is Australia’s rich and vibrant cultural hub, the Kimberley in Australia’s far north west is true Australian outback. Red rocky ranges, unspoilt landscapes and a sense of scale and geological history unlike anything I’ve seen before. Truly spectacular!

A Taste Of The Kimberley | Travel Photography Australia

Very few people get the opportunity to see Australia’s remote Kimberley region in the country’s far north west, and even fewer see the Kimberley’s rugged north coast. This is as rugged as rugged gets.

Accessible only to outsiders by boat or plane the Kimberley Coast and the Admiralty Gulf are a sight to behold – this is a place where ancient landforms are framed with pristine turquoise waters, and sacred burial sites mark the home of a 50,000-year-old Aboriginal culture. Remarkable.

Spiffy New Calendar for a Spiffy New Year

Happy new year folks!

Hope you’re all well rested, feeling rejuvenated and ready to tackle 2013 with gusto.

And what better way to kick off a new year than with a spiffy new calendar for your wall.

Ok, so I’ll be the first to admit the life of a calendar “artist” probably isn’t a quick path to riches (unless you’re Ken Duncan of course!) but it has become a nice tradition of sorts over the past 5 years – and a good excuse to share some personal work with friends and family each year.

So, if you’ve still got an empty spot on your wall, a couple of bucks in your pocket, and could use a little more colour in your life hop on over and get one while the year is young!

Here’s wishing you and yours every success and happiness in 2013!!
